Mabel Brown Obituary October 1, 1941 - May 31, 2023 Mabel Brown of Riverside, CA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Riverside Community Hospital on May 31, 2023. Mabel was born in Guadalupita, Mora, New Mexico, to Lucia Trujillo Garcia and Severino Jose Garcia, on October 1, 1941. She attended Mora High School and then, as a young bride to Frank Bueno, moved to Northern California in 1958 to raise her young family. They later moved to Riverside, California, where Bourns Inc employed her for 35 years. She returned to school to receive her GED and was hired by San Bernardino County Human Services, Transitional Assistance Department, where she was employed for ten years before retiring in 2005. In 1976, she married her true love, Jack Brown, and they were married for 45 years before his passing in 2021. While married, they enjoyed bowling, dancing, family gatherings, and visiting family in New Mexico. They loved to watch Dancing with the Stars, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Nascar Races, and Golf, and they enjoyed meeting friends for coffee weekly at Simple Simons. She found relaxation in Bingo, a leisurely drive with her grandson Christopher, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her Bible Study ladies, Dear Friends, and her Curves Buddies, which she attended three days a week. She was also involved in the Riverside and San Bernardino Fraternal Order of Eagles 91 - Women's Auxiliary for many years. She is preceded in life by her husband, Jack Brown, her parents, Severino and Lucita, and siblings, Joe, George, Rosa, Maggie, Epimienio, Manuel, Georgia, and Stepson, Richard Brown. Mabel leaves behind her children Joe Bueno, Tina Inkrote (Mark), Bernice Smith (Tom), Frances Wolfe (Lee), step-children Cheryl Wilson (Robert), Dana King (Russ), David Brown (Connie), sisters Priscilla Martinez and Dolores Maribel (Phil), and brother Luis Garcia, sister-in-law Debbie Brown, fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6115 Arlington Avenue, Riverside. There will be a viewing in the Chapel from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after at Avila's Historic 1929, 3252 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, 92507. All friends and family are welcome to attend. The Interment will be held at a later date.
